Privacy
What this site collects, what it does not, and who else is involved when you buy.
The short version
There are no accounts on this site, and nothing you type into a product ever reaches me. The files you download are yours, and they stay on your own devices.
When you buy
Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy, who act as the merchant of record. They collect the details needed to take payment, issue a receipt and apply sales tax where it applies, and they send you the download link. Their privacy policy governs that data.
I can see order records, meaning your name, email address and what you bought, so that I can resend a file or answer a question about an order. Card numbers never touch this website.
When you get in touch
Messages sent through the contact form are delivered and stored by Netlify, who host this site, and I read them from there. I keep the message and the email address you gave so I can reply and keep a record of what was asked. A support message never adds you to a mailing list.
If you ask to hear about the next edition, or to get the one email when Nearhand opens, your email address is kept for exactly that purpose, and every email sent to it includes a way to unsubscribe. With the Nearhand launch signup, the site also saves which channel the visit came from (for example "instagram"), nothing else.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count visits: which pages are viewed, which site or campaign link brought you here (for exampleutm_source=instagram), your device type and country, and which buttons are clicked. Umami doesn't use cookies, doesn't store your IP address, and doesn't follow you to other sites. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, your visit isn't counted.
When you arrive from a tagged link, the site also remembers that tag until you close the tab (in your browser's session storage, not a cookie), so that if you open Nearhand, the app knows which channel you came from. It saves only the channel name, never anything about you.
There is no advertising network on this site, no cross-site tracking, and no advertising cookies. If that changes, this page changes first. The checkout window is operated by Lemon Squeezy and sets its own cookies, which are needed to process an order.
Your choices
You can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Emailnate.19692004@gmail.com or use the contact form, and say which.
